Tomato, lemon, zucchini, cucumber update

Looking back now, it was naive to think that I could let the tomatoes ‘run free’. Their nature is to split and grow with a ‘bacteria like' enthusiasm.

Pinching off laterals has become a daily job in an effort to keep the plants contained to the boundaries of the bed.

This is what it looks like now, Click here to see what the bed looked like at the beginning of the month

A warmer than usual month is forecast. Will it be warm enough for my tomatoes? A few are developing under the rampant cover.

I’ve had to add stakes to tie branches back.

Lemons are doing well. New leaves and flowers are appearing.

The ‘problem child’ looks like it’s over the hump and hopefully should start to flourish.

I’m getting a decent crop of zucchini and cucumbers.
