Why is it less noisy sitting in front of the engines?
Recently I've enjoyed a series of seat allocations where I've found myself sitting infront of the planes wings.
I've noticed an appreciable lowering of noise. The roar of takeoff is replaced by a ticking sound.
The cabin is one long tube the I assume carries
sound along its length so why is it more peaceful 'forward' of the engines?
