Dear Earthwatcher,

With the cooler months approaching, now is the perfect time to plan a new adventure. Perhaps you are being called to the lush rainforest by the frogs of Eastern Australia, the clear blue waters and dolphins of Greece or the fascinating and most iconic endangered species, the giant panda.

Our new expedition, On the trail of the giant panda, you will help monitor newborn panda cubs and their mums during breeding season, observe 'trainee' pandas preparing for release into the wild and study a wild panda population in the mountain forest of the Wolong Nature Reserve.

To find out more about this expedition or any other, visit earthwatch.org.au or join the conversation on facebook.

Warm regards,

Latest news
It seems like long ago that Earthwatch received the great news that we would be one of the beneficiaries of the Royal Wedding Gift fund set up by Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton. Now, William sends Earthwatch a personal letter of thanks and encouragement.
The first team of divers have just returned from Orpheus Island surveying the health of coral in the area. The expedition was a huge success, with the last dive at the beautiful Coral Gardens a highlight. Even inclement weather didn't dampen the team spirit! Check out the photos on facebook.

Looking for a fun, educational activity that the whole family can enjoy? Check out Melbourne's Microbats and Bandicoots on the Brink family teams. Team sizes and dates are limited, so book your place soon.
Up to 270 marine species worldwide are affected by marine debris, yet little is known about the impact this has on Australia's wildlife. To help understand and combat this, Earthwatch has launched a new program, TeachWild and calling for teachers, parents and students to get involved.
